物種介紹

臺灣特有的角葫蘆鍬形蟲。

外觀與辨識

Lin（2023）的臺灣 Nigidius 鑑別鍵記述，本種前胸背板表面同時有近乎無刻點區與粗刻點區，翅鞘較短；雌蟲生殖器的 stylus 短且明顯鉤曲。

分布與棲地

分布：臺灣特有；文獻紀錄包括南投、嘉義、高雄、屏東、臺東及花蓮。 棲地：台灣已報導於海拔約 500–1,300 公尺。

生活史與活動

活動習性：已知臺灣成蟲標本的採集月份包含2、4、6、7、8月；紀錄來自南投、嘉義、高雄、屏東、臺東及花蓮。 成蟲壽命：開始活動後，人工照護可先以約半年至一年規劃成蟲管理；取食、繁殖消耗與個體差異會影響實際壽命。

底材建議

可暫提供細碎腐熟朽木與腐植質組成、保持微濕且有縫隙的介質。
